Computer Technician - Part Time

The Shamong Township School District is seeking a part time Computer Technician to perform technical functions unique to district computer network operations. The Computer Technician will support instructional and operational technology needs by maintaining reliable computer systems, network hardware, and peripherals, and by providing effective technical support to staff and students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the installation of new computers and the reconfiguration of existing computers, software, and network systems.
• Maintain, service, and repair all district computers, peripherals, and network hardware.
• Assist in maintaining a comprehensive and efficient inventory system for instructional technology equipment and software.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and peripheral issues and provide timely technical support.
• Operate and demonstrate the use of computer equipment and devices as requested.
• Maintain information files and catalogs of district computer equipment, software, and related materials.
• Assist in all other areas of district computer operations as directed by the Technology Coordinator.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• H.S. Diploma
• Successful experience troubleshooting and maintaining a wide variety of computer hardware and peripherals in an institutional setting.
• Successful experience with Google Workspace and Chromebooks.
• Successful experience with Windows 11 Professional, and an understanding of Windows Server 2022.
• Successful experience with a wide range of software products, including Microsoft Office Suite.
