Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Education or a related field
- A valid New Jersey School Supervisor Certificate required; Principal certificate preferred
- At least three (3) years successful experience as a teacher working with Special Education students
- Experience in Special Education with an understanding and concern for the special education student and his/her place in society
- Evidence of successful leadership in an educational setting
- A working knowledge of New Jersey Statutes and Administrative Code as it pertains to special education
- Demonstrated leadership skills in the areas of curriculum development, program evaluation, and staff development
Terms of Employment: Full-time, 12 months
Job Goal: To provide support to the Director of Ocean Academy and Cape May County High School with specific responsibilities with staff evaluations, curriculum and instruction, and program oversight, as well as serving as a district resource, supervising assigned staff, and leading implementation of district goals and initiatives.
Pay Rate: $95,000 minimum (Salary negotiable based on experience)
