- Instruction: Plan and deliver differentiated, standards-aligned lessons that support English language acquisition and academic growth.
- Assessment: Monitor, evaluate, and report student progress periodically, utilizing assessment data to adjust teaching strategies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with general education staff, specialists, and families to coordinate language supports and accommodations.
- Inclusivity: Integrate culturally responsive practices and create a structured, welcoming environment that promotes confidence and respect.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Education, ESL, or a related field required.
- Certification: Valid New Jersey Teaching Certificate with ESL or Bilingual/Bicultural Endorsement.
- Skills: Strong understanding of language acquisition methodologies, excellent communication skills, and high cultural sensitivity.
