We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated elementary music teacher to join our team and inspire a love for music in our young learners.

About the Role:

As a lower school music teacher at Pioneer Academy, you will play a pivotal role in introducing students to the joys of music and cultivating their musical abilities. You will design and deliver engaging music lessons that align with our curriculum and encourage creativity and self-expression. Creating a positive and inclusive atmosphere where students can explore various aspects of music, develop their skills, and appreciate different genres is central to your responsibilities. Collaboration with fellow educators and participation in school events will contribute to the holistic development of our students.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver creative and interactive music lessons for elementary grades that align with the school's curriculum.
• Introduce students to fundamental music concepts, including rhythm, melody, and basic music theory.
• Utilize a variety of teaching methods, incorporating hands-on activities, group performances, and technology integration to enhance the learning experience.
• Assess and evaluate students' musical progress through a variety of methods, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
• Collaborate with other music teachers and faculty across disciplines to create integrated learning experiences.
• Stay current with trends in music education and incorporate innovative approaches into the classroom.
• Actively participate in school events, performances, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• NJ State Teacher Certification in Music.
• Passion for music and a genuine desire to inspire young learners.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Demonstrated ability to engage students in creative and interactive music lessons.
• Experience using technology in the music classroom.

Salary range: $50,000-$75,000 based on experience and credentials
