Interventionist (Reading Specialist - at Abraham Clark High School 

Job Summary:
This position is for a High School Interventionist (Reading Specialist) for the 2026-2027 School Year foSeptember 1, 2026 - June 30, 2027.

Qualifications/Responsibilities:

  • Valid teaching certification (secondary level required; reading specialist certification and/or Orton-Gillingham preferred)
  • Coordinates the collection and analysis of student data 
  • Provides targeted academic support to struggling high school students
  • Delivers Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions within an MTSS framework
  • Collaborates with general education teachers to close achievement gaps and improve student outcomes.
  • Monitors grade-level proficiency and graduation readiness.
  • Supports students performing below grade level in reading, writing, mathematics, and academic langua

Salary: 
REA Salary Guide Range 
BA: Step 1 $63,000- MA+30 Step 21 $106,295
