Salary for the 2026-2027 year -$71,730 prorated
This position includes full health benefits. If choosing to waive out of health benefits, you will be entitled to receive an annual waive-out payment of approximately $5,000-$13,000, depending upon plan/coverage.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching high school students foundational skills in world language acquisition, including reading comprehension, writing, listening, speaking, grammar, and vocabulary development.
- Preparing and delivering coursework for Advanced Placement (AP) Spanish, with the possibility of teaching AP Spanish courses based on program needs and student enrollment.
- Designing and delivering engaging, culturally rich, age-appropriate world language lessons aligned with curriculum standards to foster language proficiency, critical thinking, and appreciation of multilingual culture.
- Supporting students in developing writing and speaking skills across various modes—interpersonal, interpretive, and presentational—with an emphasis on accuracy, fluency, structure, and authentic communication.
- Working with students in small groups or one-on-one to provide differentiated instruction, reinforce language concepts, and meet the diverse needs of heritage learners, beginners, and advanced students.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Spanish
CEAS or Standard Certification in Spanish (1550).
