NOTICE OF VACANCY

2025-2026 School Year

POSITION:               Anticipated - Middle School English Language Arts Teacher

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Possess or anticipate NJ School Teacher with Subject Matter Specialization – English Language Arts
  • Standard, CEAS, CE
• Additional certifications preferred 
• Knowledge of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards (NJSLS)
• Experience/ability to:
  • Use Google Classroom
  • Create and implement engaging, student centered lesson plans
  • Foster critical thinking and higher order thinking skills
  • Analyze data for the purpose of making instructional decisions, i.e. - such as strategic student groupings
  • Effectively organize and manage cooperative groups
  • Utilize formative and standardized assessment results in lesson design
  • Provide differentiated instruction based on student need and data
  • Integrate technology into daily lessons to promote learning, creativity, and collaboration 
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills
  • Establish strong classroom routines and procedures 
  • Develop and implement class wide and individualized student behavior/incentive plans
  • Create and maintain a positive learning atmosphere 
  • Lead, motivate, and engage students in learning
  • Communicate with families on academic progress, student conduct, instructional program 
  • Work in a team environment and collaborate with other teachers and staff
  • Be counted on to hold the highest standards of honesty, integrity, and confidentiality 
  • Learn new tasks and accept honest feedback from colleagues and supervisors 
  • Involve yourself in school/community activities, events, initiatives, programs, offerings
