JV GIRLS' TENNIS COACH

St. John Vianney High School is in search of a dedicated, experienced professional to serve as the Girls' JV Tennis Coach for the spring of 2027. St. John Vianney HS is a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school located in Holmdel, Monmouth County, NJ.

St. John Vianney plays in the Shore Conference of the NJSIAA and participates in highly competitive conference, league, and non-league schedules. The JV coach directs and coordinates all aspects of the team, following the school’s mission and values. The goal of the coach should be to help lead a competitive program at the highest level of play by teaching and developing the players' skills and sportsmanship. Fundamentals and strategy are essential.

This position receives a stipend with the possibility of a full-time teaching or staff position. The Spring Season runs from March through mid-June.

Requirements/Expectations:

• 60 College Credits required/Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Tennis playing or coaching experience with high school-aged student-athletes preferred.
• Experience working in a school setting and coaching male athletes is preferred.
• Ability to attend all practices, meetings and matches from March through mid-June.
• Interest in developing and building a highly competitive program is preferred.
• Commitment to the principles of our Catholic college preparatory school
• Interpersonal skills and record of developing strong relationships with student-athletes, colleagues, administrators, parents/guardians, and others in the school community.
• Experience and familiarity with competitive high school or equivalent youth tennis programs are desirable.
• Present for open house, season banquets, signing days, and other events in support of the team and athletic program

Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check and take the required in-person Virtus training.
