Lower Alloways Creek Board of Education has the following anticipated job opening:

 

School Business Administrator/Board Secretary

  • Valid NJ Certification in School Business Administration or certificate of eligibility.
  • Qualified Purchasing Agent (QPA) preferred.
  • School Business Office experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communications, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verval and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of payroll process (i.e. data entry, calculations, file maintenance, and check printing), pensions, and staff leaves (FMLA/NJFLA, etc.).
  • Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, insurance, purchasing, trasportation, food services, technology, safety and security, school plant operations, and facility planning.
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code, and GAAP requirements.
  • Standard Board Secretary duties, including meeting agenda and minutes preparation, public communications, Open Public Records Act (OPRA), Open Public Meetings Act (OPMA) requirements, and school election coordination.

Postition available August 1, 2026 and may involve shared service with another PK-8 Salem County School District

Starting salary:  $95,000 or more depending on experience
