Position: Full-time Occupational Therapist
Blairstown Elementary School is seeking a qualified and student-centered Full-Time
Occupational Therapist. The successful candidate will provide occupational therapy services
that support students’ educational programs and promote student independence and success
within the school environment.
Responsibilities Include:
? Provide direct, one-on-one and small-group therapeutic interventions for students
requiring occupational therapy as a related service.
? Conduct screenings and evaluations to determine students’ motor, sensory processing,
and functional abilities.
? Participate in Child Study Team meetings and IEP meetings to develop, implement, and
monitor educationally relevant goals and individualized intervention plans.
? Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school personnel to integrate therapeutic
strategies into classroom instruction and daily routines.
? Recommend classroom accommodations, seating arrangements, environmental
modifications, and assistive devices to support student learning and accessibility.
? Maintain appropriate documentation, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with
state and federal regulations.
Qualifications:
? Valid New Jersey Occupational Therapist License required.
? School-based experience preferred.
? Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
