Position Overview

Thrive Charter School is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and structured Head Girls Soccer Coach to lead our soccer program for the upcoming fall season. The ideal candidate will possess a deep tactical knowledge of the game, a commitment to holistic player development, and a strong ability to model sportsmanship and character alignment with the "Thrive family" values.

Key Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Run all aspects of the Girls Soccer program, including planning and executing daily practices, formulating game strategies, and managing match-day logistics.

• Student-Athlete Development: Foster an environment that prioritizes physical fitness, soccer skill progression, teamwork, and academic accountability.

• Mentorship & Culture: Promote a positive team culture that mirrors the school's mission of building confident and compassionate individuals. Ensure high standards of sportsmanship.

• Safety & Compliance: Monitor student-athlete safety during all practices, home games, and away games. Ensure compliance with all school, district, and NJSIAA rules and regulations.

• Communication: Maintain open, professional communication with student-athletes, parents, school administration, and the Athletic Director.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education & Experience: High school diploma required (Bachelor's degree preferred). Prior coaching experience at the high school, middle school, or club level is highly preferred.

• Certifications: Must possess or be willing to obtain New Jersey substitute/teacher certification. Must hold or obtain standard NJSIAA coaching requirements (including CPR/AED certification, First Aid, and Concussion in Sports training).

• Background Check: Must clear the required New Jersey Department of Education criminal history background check and fingerprinting.

• Schedule: Ability to work flexible afternoon and weekend hours during the fall sports season (August through October/November) for practices and games.
