Dates: June 22 – August 14, 2026 (Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends)
About Willow Lake Day Camp:
Willow Lake is a premier day camp located on a beautiful 35-acre campus in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. We offer a wide range of activities including sports, aquatics, arts, and adventure, with a focus on building friendships, confidence, and lifelong skills in campers ages 3–14.
Position Overview:
The Dance Specialist is responsible for planning and leading fun, engaging, and age-appropriate dance activities for campers. This includes teaching basic to intermediate dance skills, choreographing routines, and creating an energetic, inclusive environment where campers of all abilities feel comfortable participating.
Key Responsibilities:

Teach and lead daily dance sessions for campers ages Pre-K through 8th grade.

Develop creative, age-appropriate choreography for camp shows and special events.

Encourage camper participation and build confidence through positive reinforcement.

Work closely with group counselors to ensure all campers are engaged.

Ensure a safe environment during all activities, following camp policies and procedures.

Contribute to the spirit and culture of camp by being a positive role model.
Qualifications:

Background in dance, choreography, or teaching (studio, school, or camp experience preferred).

Ability to adapt instruction for a wide range of ages and skill levels.

High energy, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with children.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.
