Assistant to the School Business Administrator
The Allamuchy Township School District invites qualified candidates to apply for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Business Administrator.
This full-time, 12-month position reports directly to the School Business Administrator and plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the district business office. The successful candidate
will serve as the confidential secretary to the Business Administrator, oversee administrative secretarial duties within the business office, and assist with financial operations in accordance with
Board policy, administrative regulations, and New Jersey state law.
Primary Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the Business Office
Coordinate accounts payable and receivable activities
Complete the bills lists, personnel reports, and maintain personnel files
Maintain and support accurate accounting of financial transactions
Enter and reconcile monthly cash receipts, balances, and bank statements with the general ledger
Assist with food service account reconciliation and reporting
Assist with the preparation of the School District Treasurer’s Report
Track and maintain records related to shared services reimbursements, transportation jointures, utility reimbursements, and preschool revenue
Assist with the reconciliation of student activity accounts
Support the processing of free and reduced lunch applications
Process school requisitions and payments, including preschool and out-of-district tuition
Expertise with appropriate software systems and automated office equipment
