Special Education Teacher (Grades K-2) Autism Class Tenure Track

Requirements: 

Appropriate NJ State Certification:     

• NJ Elementary/PreK-3/K-6 and Teacher of Students with Disabilities certificate or Teacher of the Handicapped certificate required
• Discrete trial teaching experience
• Experience with implementation of AAC, PECS
• Experience in working in Autism programs preferred
• Knowledge of social skills curriculum, AFLS, ABLLS and implementation
• Experience tracking data and monitoring student progress through ReThink
• De-escalation trained preferred
• Knowledge/evidence of implementation of best practices for supporting an inclusive environment and opportunities for students
• Experience working and collaborating with parents, administrators, child study team members, and other professionals to develop Individual Education Plans
