Position: Preschool Intervention and Referral Specialist

Starting Salary: Starting at $66,204.00, negotiated per the NHTEA contract.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Three to five years experience in early childhood education, child development, and Tools of the Mind curriculum; 
• Previous Child Study Team experience
• Experience in implementing developmentally appropriate intervention strategies; 
• Experience with performance-based preschool assessments; and 
• Behavior Specialists, School Psychologists, Learning Disabilities Teacher Consultant, School Social Workers, or Speech and Language Pathologists preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Observe teachers and children, collect documentation and data, model strategies, and provide feedback using CSEFEL, TACSEI, and Positive Behavior Supports. 
• Write intervention and positive behavior support plans based on the data and information gathered during classroom observations and interviews with families, teachers, and other relevant staff. 
• Establish a PIRT assistance Protocol, including a Request for Assistance (RFA) form and manage a case file for each child. 
• Conduct classroom visits to observe, coach, model strategies, make verbal and written recommendations, and provide feedback regarding the child’s Intervention Plan or PBS plan.
