Full-Time Bus Driver/Hall Monitor

Position to begin immediately.

We are seeking a dedicated and dependable Full-Time Bus Driver / Hall Monitor to join our school community. This dual-role position is responsible for safely transporting students during morning and afternoon bus routes while also supporting  student supervision, school safety, and the orderly operation of the school throughout the day. The successful candidate will help foster a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment while upholding the mission and values of Catholic education.

Responsibilities

Transportation Duties

• Safely operate school bus routes for morning and afternoon student transportation.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure compliance with all state and local transportation regulations.
• Maintain a safe and positive environment for students while riding the bus.

Hall Monitor Duties

• Monitor hallways, stairwells, entrances, common areas, and school grounds throughout the school day.
• Assist with student supervision before school, during class transitions, lunch periods, and dismissal.
• Promote appropriate student behavior and address minor disciplinary concerns in accordance with school policies.
• Assist administrators and faculty in maintaining a safe, orderly, and respectful school environment.
• Report safety concerns, maintenance issues, or incidents to administration promptly.
• Support emergency procedures and assist during drills or emergency situations as directed.
• Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families while serving as a visible and supportive presence throughout the school.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class B license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements and a clean driving record required (or willingness to obtain).
• Previous experience working with children, student supervision, transportation, security, or school operations preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong communication, professionalism, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
• Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to walk extensively throughout the school building and grounds.
• Must be able to climb stairs, bend, stoop, and move throughout hallways and outdoor areas.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift and carry moderate amounts of weight.
• Must be able to respond quickly to student needs and emergency situations

Schedule

• Morning and afternoon bus routes.
• Hall monitoring and student supervision responsibilities during the school day.
• Additional duties as assigned by school administration.

Salary & Benefits

• The salary offered will be based on experience and qualifications. 
• The salary range for this full-time position is between $25,000 and $35,000 (with an additional 2 hours of Bus Driver pay for PM run).  Full-time positions offer a variety of benefits, including health insurance, dental, vision, 403b and paid time off.
