Bilingual (Spanish) Teacher/Home Instructor – First Grade Student

Location: Newark, NJ
Position Type: Part-Time Home Instruction - 10 hours per week
Student: First Grade

A Newark school district is seeking a qualified Teacher/Home Instructor to provide individualized educational instruction to a Spanish speaking first-grade student in a home setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one academic instruction based on the student's educational needs and school curriculum
• Implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for a first-grade student
• Support foundational skills in reading, writing, mathematics, and other academic areas
• Maintain communication with the school regarding the student's progress and instructional needs
• Maintain appropriate documentation of instructional services and student progress
• Establish a positive, supportive learning environment

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey teaching certification preferred
• Experience teaching or providing home instruction to elementary-age students preferred
• Strong understanding of first-grade academic standards and instructional practices
• Ability to work independently and establish rapport with a young student
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
