TITLE:    IT Support Tech 


  1. High School Diploma or equivalent
  2. CompTIA A+ and Google certification preferred but not required
  3. Experience in an educational environment preferred but not required
  4. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
  5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  6. Required criminal history background check, employment history check, and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
  7. Must hold and maintain a valid driver’s license with no serious violations
  8. A minimum of one year of field experience providing technical support
  9. Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing
  10. Must have vehicle to travel between buildings
  11. Familiar with all aspects of Windows, PC administration, Microsoft Office, iPad/iOs and Chromebook support 

REPORTS TO:                     School Business Administrator 

Job Description:  The Technology Associate is responsible for providing staff and students in a K-8 environment with timely and knowledgeable support of software, hardware, networking and other aspects of technology and will have the ability to tackle a wide range of technology issues in an efficient manner. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Performs basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems for district users and/or the school district community.
    2. Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies. 
    3. Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties.
    4. Maintains and updates record keeping system; may document projects and maintain user instructions.
    5. Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials; performs data entry and maintenance of records such as, but not limited to, project documents, user instructions, and general reports and/or systems errors.
    6. Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.
    7. Assists with the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.
    8. Assists with research and development initiatives and in the implementation of new technologies.
    9. Assists with the implementation of technology projects with moderate scope and impact.
    10. Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices.
    11. Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems.
    12. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.


EMPLOYMENT:     Twelve Month Contract
