Medford Township Public Schools seeks dynamic, flexible educator to fill Speech Language Leave Replacement position available immediately through June 2021.

 REQUIREMENTS:

 NJ DOE Certificate Speech Language Specialist – please provide copy of certificate(s) or NJDOE printout

  1. Prior experience working with elementary student preferred
  2. Knowledge of G Suite Application preferred
  3. Proficient with use of technology online
  4. Flexibility – in person instruction and remote learning
  5. Five days per week

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Serves as a school resource for staff members in the development of a balanced program for improving students’ communication skills.
  2. Assists and guides staff members in observing, describing and referring speech and language impairments.
  3. Screens, provide assessment and diagnosis speech, voice, hearing and language impairments.
  4. Provides individualized educational plan of therapy to meet individual student’s need.
  5. Collaborate with teaching and other school staff in implementation of therapy by suggestions of daily activities and facilitation of multi-disciplinary groups.
  6. Provides information, support and counseling to parents, guardians and families.
  7. Maintains appropriate case records and adheres to adopted operating procedures of the Medford Township Child Study Team relative to effective child study team functioning.
  8. Maintains professional competence through participation in inservice education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
