Chemistry Teacher HS - Leave Replacement Position
May 1 - June 20, 2025

Anticipated Start Date: May 1, 2025
 
QUALIFICATIONS:      
  1. Valid NJ Instructional Teacher of Chemistry Certificate.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of effective teaching methods and developmentally appropriate classroom activities.
  3. Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty.
  4. Experience in design challenges, integrative design, and STEM desired.
  5. Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  6. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  7. Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  8. Must meet NJ Residency requirements as per the New Jersey First Act, N.J.S.A. 52:14-7 (L. 2011, Chapter 70).
 
REPORTS TO: Principal
 
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Kenilworth Board of Education’s substitute long-term rate of $250.00 per diem. In accordance with N.J.S.A. 18A:16-1:1, time accrued as a leave replacement teacher does not count towards tenure.
