Camp Dates: June 22 – August 14, 2026 (Monday–Friday, no nights or weekends)
About Willow Lake Day Camp:
Willow Lake is a premier day camp located on a beautiful 35-acre campus in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. We offer a wide range of activities including sports, aquatics, arts, and adventure, with a focus on building friendships, confidence, and lifelong skills in campers ages 3–14.
Position Overview:
The Studio Art Specialist is responsible for planning and leading creative art projects that inspire campers to explore different techniques and materials. This role emphasizes creativity, self-expression, and hands-on learning, giving campers the chance to bring home projects they are proud of while developing artistic skills in a fun and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Plan and lead daily art sessions for campers ages Pre-K through 8th grade.

Develop age-appropriate projects using a variety of media (painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, etc.).

Encourage creativity and individuality while teaching basic art concepts.

Manage supplies and maintain a clean, safe, and organized art space.

Support counselors in engaging all campers in the activity.

Create an inclusive and positive environment where campers feel confident exploring art.
Qualifications:

Experience in art, art education, or teaching art to children (camp, school, or studio setting).

Knowledge of different art materials and techniques.

Creativity, patience, and enthusiasm for working with kids.

Strong organizational and communication skills.
