We are seeking an inspiring, dynamic, and fluent Grades 7-12 French Teacher to lead our secondary world language program, fostering both linguistic proficiency and global citizenship.
As the French Teacher for grades 7-12, you will guide middle and high school scholars from their very first introduction to the French language through advanced conversation and literary analysis. You will design a proficiency-based program that emphasizes communication, cultural appreciation, and real-world connection, preparing students for success in higher education and a global workforce.

Instruction & Curriculum: Design and deliver engaging, rigorous French lessons aligned with the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for World Languages (NJSLS-WL) and ACTFL proficiency guidelines.

Target Language Immersion: Conduct class primarily in French, employing high-leverage teaching practices (comprehensible input, total physical response, and contextualized grammar) to build student confidence and fluency.

Secondary Differentiated Learning: Adapt instruction to meet the distinct developmental stages of middle schoolers (grades 7-8) and high schoolers (grades 9-12), utilizing project-based learning, authentic media, and technology.

Cultural Competency: Infuse the diverse history, literature, art, and current events of the Francophone world (including Europe, Africa, Canada, and the Caribbean) into daily instruction.

Assessment & Growth: Use formative and summative assessments to track language acquisition and prepare upperclassmen for advanced tracks or potential Seal of Biliteracy achievement.
