Speech/Language Therapist

The Pillar School is seeking a dedicated and highly qualified part-time (2 days per week) Speech-Language Pathologist to provide services to students in a special education 18-21 MD setting in East Hanover, New Jersey.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, Child Study Team members, and other related service providers to support students’ communication needs and promote educational success.

• Implement individualized speech-language therapy programs based on student needs.
• Provide direct and consultative speech-language services to students.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of measurable goals and objectives.
• Maintain accurate therapy documentation, progress reports, and service logs.
• Collaborate with teachers, Child Study Team members, administrators, families, and related service providers.
• Monitor student progress and adjust intervention plans as appropriate.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable special education regulations and school procedures.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist Certification and/or appropriate New Jersey state licensure.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
• School-based experience preferred.
• Experience working with students across a wide range of ages and communication needs is preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary educational team.
