NOTICE OF OPENING
TEACHER OF MUSIC PERFORMANCE AND TECHNOLOGY
The Board of Education is seeking an experienced Music Professional for the position of Teacher of Music Performance and Technology available at the Middlesex County Vocational and Technical High Schools, East Brunswick campus. This is an annual ten-month teaching position with other duties as assigned. Start date will be July, 2019 for part-time program/curriculum work and full-time duties beginning in September. Salary based on MCVTS instructional salary guide.
Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years’ combined experience in music performance and/or teaching. Applicants should have strong knowledge of music theory, performance elements, audio engineering and recording technology. Candidates with a B.F.A. or M.F.A. preferred. Applicants should possess or be eligible to qualify for a NJ Career and Technical Education Instructional Certificate with one of the following endorsements: Vocational Arts/Instrumental Music (410), Vocational Arts/Vocal Music (4111), Vocational Arts/Electronic music (4189) or Audio Technology (4103).
