Position:  SUBSTITUTE ARMED SECURITY STAFF
District-wide

Effective Date(s): 2022-2023 school year
   
Employment Terms: Per diem as needed; shift and number of hours dependent upon vacancy.
   
Job Goal: To assist in the maintenance of a safe school environment for students and staff.
   
Qualifications:      
 
  1. High school diploma or equivalent.
  2. Possess a NJ Driver’s License.
  3. Retired Law Enforcement Officer with 20 or more years of experience and retired in good standing with his/her agency.
  4. Possess the legal authority to carry a firearm under New Jersey State Law
NJSA 2C:39-6.1
  1. Ability to work effectively within a school environment.
  2. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
   
Reports to: Building Principal or Designee
   
Salary: $28.50 per hour

Requirements: 1. New Jersey resident or willingness to relocate

Evaluation:  Performance evaluated annually in accordance with the provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of non-certificated staff.
