School Nurse Tenure Track

Requirements: 

Responsibilities include: health screenings and services, emergency first aid, the care of those who are ill and injured while in the school, maintenance of health records.

Requirements:

• State of NJ Department of Education School Nurse Standard Certificate,
• Demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practices and emergency procedures.
• Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education.
• Experience working with students with various medical conditions, such as diabetes and epilepsy.
• Knowledge of community health and social service resources.
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, non-school health professionals and social service agencies.
• Computer literate with proficiency with PowerSchool, Google Apps for Education and Snap Health Center preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as Computer literate and proficient in student management systems.
• Highly organized and motivated. Self-starter. Ability to work independently and multitask
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and demonstrate flexibility.
