School Van/Bus Driver

Job Goal

To safely transport eligible students to and from school and approved school-related activities using district vehicles while promoting student safety, welfare, and positive behavior.  

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.   
• At least 21 years of age with a New Jersey driver's license for a minimum of three (3) years.
• Commercial Driver's License preferred with S Endorsement in good standing or ability to obtain one. See requirements for CDL license HERE
• Must sign an authorization permitting the school district to conduct monthly motor vehicle record checks pursuant to N.J.S.A. 39:2-3.4.c. 
• Must have completed the training required pursuant to N.J.S.A.  18A:39-19.1a.c. and N.J.S.A. 18A:39-19.2.  
• Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or resident alien status. 

Compensation & Benefits

• $37/hour 
• Part-time- Up to 29 hours/week, no benefits included
