Position: High School Science Teacher – Biology, Chemistry, Physical Science
Location: 9–12 Campus, Plainfield, NJ
Type: Full-Time, 10-Month Position
Start Date: September 2025

Reports To:
High School Principal & Vice Principal

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science Education, Biology, Chemistry, or related field

• Valid New Jersey Teaching Certification in Science (Grades 9–12)

• Knowledge of lab safety protocols and scientific inquiry methods

• Familiarity with NJSLS Science Standards and Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS)

• Strong classroom management and communication skills

• Experience in high school science instruction preferred

Job Summary:
The Science Teacher will create engaging, hands-on learning experiences in Biology, Chemistry, and Physical Science, fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Plan and deliver science lessons aligned with NGSS and district curriculum

• Design and supervise safe, engaging laboratory experiments

• Differentiate instruction for diverse learners

• Use formative and summative assessments to guide instruction

• Integrate technology and real-world applications into science learning

• Maintain accurate records of student progress and participation
