Bilingual Teacher/Elementary

Qualifications:

• Knowledgeable of New Jersey Student Learning Standards, WIDA, and TESOL standards
• Knowledgeable in best practices in Bilingual education, English as a Second Language and Sheltered English Instruction
• Knowledgeable in current teaching methods and educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based on student learning styles
• Able to develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of multilingual learners
• Possess the skills and knowledge to create a safe classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate to the development and interests of the students
• Possess proven interpersonal communication skills
• Familiar with ACCESS testing
• Works cooperatively with subject area teachers

• Valid New Jersey Teacher of ESL certification or eligibility, a plus

• Bilingual/Bicultural Education (1480) certificate, Spanish-speaking required
