DIRECTOR OF FACILITIES
The Verona Public School district supports a passionate group of educators and an engaged learning community. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who will continue to maintain high standards and possess strong interpersonal skills to develop and sustain a collaborative environment. The Verona Public School district is seeking a Director of Facilities to coordinate district facilities operations. The qualified candidate will plan, organize, and coordinate all activities associated with maintenance, operations, and security of the physical plant, equipment, and grounds under the auspices of the Verona Board of Education in order to provide students and staff with an environment that is safe, clean, pleasant, and conducive for teaching and learning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Collaborative leader with an innate ability to develop positive relationships and establish trust within an outstanding learning community
Strong leadership and organizational skills in a leader who oversees the implementation of all facilities projects
Demonstrated capacity to handle complex problems and engage stakeholders in problem resolution
Responsible for oversight of the district’s ongoing capital projects and will represent and protect the interests of the district in dealings with the various architects, engineers and contractors involved
Certified Educational Facilities Manager (CEFM)
Interested parties should be prepared to provide evidence of trainings and qualifications related to the position (i.e. AHERA, IPM, IAQ, Black Seal, etc.)
Responsible for oversight and evaluation of custodial and facility personnel
Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required
