Elementary/Middle School Principal (Interim Candidates will be considered)

The Mount Arlington Public School District, Morris County, a PreK-8 system with approximately 360 students in two schools,is seeking an Elementary/Middle School Principal for the 2026-2027 school year.

 The ideal candidate will possess:

• NJ Principal Certificate (required)
• Building administrative/supervisory experience strongly preferred
• Elementary/Middle School classroom teaching experience 
• Recognized leadership in the areas of curriculum, program evaluation, staff development and school improvement
• An enhanced understanding of research-based, highly effective teaching methodologies
• A commitment to the effective supervision and evaluation of staff
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to produce meaningful communication with students, staff, parents, community and other stakeholders
• Effective collaboration skills with a engaged faculty and leadership team
• Ability to plan, prepare and administer the school budget, including the translation of educational needs, goals and objectives into budgetary terms
• A commitment to building and maintaining a strong school climate and culture
• Innovative thinking and experience in the areas of programming and scheduling
• Excellent organizational skills and an ability to perform a broad range of simultaneous activitie

Salary Range: $125,000-$135,000
