AQUATICS SUPERVISOR
Twelve (12) Month Position

QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience in aquatics management preferred.
Minimum two (2) years related experience preferred.
Strong communication skills.
Experience in aquatics programming or aquatics facility management preferred.
Current Lifeguarding, CPO and CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Strong leadership skills; Self-directed and creative individual.
Ability to develop collaborative relationships with community agencies and all members.
Must be able to effectively prepare reports, correspond and meet all deadlines.
Must have knowledge and experience in computer applications appropriate to the position.

Aquatics and Fitness Center Site Director
FUNCTION
The Aquatics Supervisor is a crucial member of the ESCNJ’s Aquatics and Fitness Center’s management team. The Aquatics Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and coordination of all aquatic operations, including managing lifeguard staff, programming and facility rentals. This position requires strong leadership, excellent organizational skills and a deep commitment to maintaining a safe, clean and enjoyable aquatic environment for all patrons.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise Lifeguard Staff: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate lifeguard staff to ensure the highest level of safety and customer service. Schedule lifeguard rotations and shifts to ensure proper coverage during all operational hours. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and professional development for lifeguard staff.
Aquatic Programming: Develop, plan, and implement a variety of aquatic programs to cater to different age groups and skill levels. Collaborate with other departments to create innovative aquatic programs that align with the facility's overall goals. Monitor and assess program effectiveness, making adjustments as necessary to meet participant needs.
Facility Coordination and Rentals: Manage the scheduling and coordination of aquatic facility rentals, ensuring seamless execution of rentals, and events. Collaborate with swim team leaders, and event organizers to address their specific needs and requirements. Oversee the setup and teardown of equipment and facilities for rentals and events.
Safety and Certification: Maintain a high standard of safety by enforcing all facility rules, guidelines, and regulations. Ensure that all lifeguards possess up-to-date certifications in lifeguarding, CPR, first aid, and AED operation. Conduct regular emergency response drills to ensure lifeguard readiness for various scenarios.
Reporting and Communication: Provide updates to the Aquatics and Fitness Center Site Director regarding aquatic operations, staff performance, and programming. Act as main point of contact for patrons regarding aquatic-related inquiries, concerns, and feedback.
Point of contact with maintenance personnel in recording/documenting pool related mechanical issues, in addition to logging the pool chemical levels.

BENEFITS:

MINIMUM SALARY
: $60,000
