Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Full Time

Position Overview:
The Northvale School District is seeking a highly collaborative BCBA to serve its Preschool through Grade 8 students. This role is designed for a professional who views behavioral science as a bridge to academic, social, and emotional success. The candidate will work side-by-side with paraprofessionals, general and special education teachers, child study team members, administrators, and related service providers to co-design inclusive learning environments. This position supports students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, multiple disabilities, and those in the general education population requiring tiered behavioral interventions.
Key Responsibilities:

Multidisciplinary Programming & Curriculum Design:
-
Partner with educators to co-design specialized programming for students with Autism and multiple disabilities using a blend of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and Universal Design for Learning.

Consult on differentiated instruction strategies to ensure academic accessibility for all learners.

Integrated Behavioral & Academic Support:
-
Provide ongoing support for classroom-wide and individual programs, utilizing multimodal instructional methods and assistive technology.

Lead the collaborative analysis of data with the classroom team to ensure that both behavioral and academic programs are driving effective, measurable student growth.

Building-Wide Positive Behavior Support (MTSS):

Consult with general education staff to develop and refine positive behavior support plans for Tier 1 and Tier 2 Interventions.

Provide consultation for emerging behavioral challenges within the 504 and general education framework to proactively reduce behavioral barriers.

Comprehensive Evaluations & FBAs:

Conduct Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) process for a diverse range of students (IEP, 504, and general education), ensuring all team members contribute to a holistic view of the student.

Develop data-driven behavior intervention plans that prioritize academic modifications alongside behavioral replacement skills.

Staff Empowerment & Professional Development:

Design and deliver interactive professional development and hands-on training for all building staff, including specialized coaching for paraprofessionals.

Have Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification to ensure a safe, regulated environment for staff and students.

Communication & Meetings: Actively participate in and present data-driven findings at IEP, 504, and child study team meetings
Certification: Current or in process BCBA credential to include NJ Licensure
