FULL-TIME SPEECH/LANGUAGE THERAPIST – MATERNITY LEAVE REPLACEMENT

End Date: June 24, 2027

Employment Status: 1099 Independent Contractor

We are seeking a NJ-certified Speech/Language Therapist for a full-time, 5-day-per-week maternity leave replacement position at one of our elementary schools for the remainder of the 2026–2027 school year.

The Speech/Language Therapist will provide speech and language services to elementary-aged students and will also be responsible for case management responsibilities for assigned students.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students.
• Develop and implement appropriate IEP goals and objectives.
• Serve as case manager for assigned students.
• Conduct and participate in Annual Review meetings.
• Conduct speech/language evaluations as part of initial eligibility and re-evaluation processes, as appropriate.
• Participate in Child Study Team meetings and collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families.
• Complete required evaluations, reports, progress notes, and other documentation in accordance with school and NJDOE requirements.
• Collaborate with school staff to support students' academic and functional communication needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely student records.

Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey Speech-Language Specialist certification required.
• New Jersey school-based experience preferred.
• Experience with case management, IEP development, and CST meetings preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

Position Details:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday
• January 4, 2027 through June 24, 2027
