Widely regarded as a leader in special education, SINAI operates 8 schools for individuals ages 6-21 with a wide range of learning and developmental disabilities as well as other special needs. We focus on maximizing each student’s academic, emotional, and social potential, while developing a strong knowledge and love of his or her traditional Jewish heritage.

SINAI’s Maor High School at Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School in Livingston, NJ offers an academically rigorous program for high school students with academic and/or social challenges including learning disabilities, Aspergers, and ADHD. Students at SINAI Maor graduate with a high school diploma in four years, and are on a college track.

SINAI at Maor High School is seeking a highly motivated History teacher for the 2021-2022 year to teach high school students with complex learning disabilities, and/or social and emotional challenges. The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Special Education and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with teens with learning disabilities.

Responsibilities
Teaching History to high school students with complex learning disabilities and/or social/emotional challenges.
Collaborate with co-educators and parents to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each individual’s learning needs.

Qualifications
Masters in Special Education (preferred)
3-5 years teaching experience to high school students, preferably within a special education setting

SINAI Schools has been conducting in-person learning since September of 2020  while strictly adhering to all guidance from CDC.
