Executive Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools
Dover Public Schools is a progressive, culturally diverse school district in Morris County serving approximately 3,600 students, Pre-K through grade 12. We are currently accepting applications for the position of an Executive Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools. This is a full-time (12-month) position with immediate availability.
Qualifications:
Have a minimum of two consecutive years of documented and proven office management experience. Prior experience working in a similar position is preferred.
Exhibit personality traits that demonstrate interpersonal skills that relate well to a diverse school community of students, staff, parents, and community members.
Possess ability to work effectively independently and cooperatively with other personnel.
Specific knowledge-based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: concepts of grammar and punctuation; advanced technical skills, including use of data management systems and web-based programs; understand District organization, operations, policies and objectives; provide training and work direction; apply appropriate codes, laws, regulations, policies and procedures; operate a computer and assigned software and maintain records and prepare reports.
Primary Responsibilities:
The Executive Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent of Schools is responsible for providing direct support to the Superintendent in general day-to-day operations, performs a variety of secretarial duties as required by the Superintendent, and prepares and handles confidential matters / information as it pertains to Central Office.
