Teacher-Guidance Counselor (Summer)

Job Description

Qualifications:

• NJ School Counselor or Student Personnel Services Certificate
• Experience working with high school students
• Knowledge of high school graduation requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with staff, students, parents and the community
• Must be currently employed by the district

Additional Information:

• Must be able to work Freshmen Orientation (where applicable)
• Must complete summer responsibilities by specified dates
• Workday will consist of a minimum of four hours
• Three workdays must be scheduled between July 1 and July 16
• Remaining days must be completeted drring the last two weeks of August for scheduling
• Deviation from this schedule must be pre-approved by the Guidance Supervisor

• Meet such alternatives to above qualifications as the Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
• Pending budget availability
• All postings are open for ten (10) consecutive days following the date posted or until filled
