Benway School serves students with emotional and behavioral needs that greatly benefit from physical activity and social skills. The teacher's responsibilities include lesson planning, student assessments, and collaboration with colleagues to enhance student learning and engagement. The position requires a NJ Teaching Certificate in Physical Education/Health.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver dynamic and interactive physical education lessons for elementary, middle, and high school grades that reinforce fundamental motor skills, specific sports skills, and the importance of regular physical activity.
• Teach a Health Class aligned with the school's curriculum.
• Organize and lead age-appropriate physical activities, games, and sports that cater to diverse skill levels and interests.
• Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with other physical education teachers and faculty across disciplines to create integrated learning experiences.
• Stay current with trends in physical education and incorporate innovative approaches into the curriculum.
