TITLE OF POSITION: Assistant Girls Soccer Coach

DATE POSITION WILL BE VACANT: Immediately

SALARY RANGE: As per contract between the Phillipsburg Board of Education and the                                                              Phillipsburg Education Association

JOB DESCRIPTION: Available in Athletic Office

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Valid teaching certificate or substitute certificate in New Jersey
2. Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
3. Previous successful coaching experience
4. Serve as a role model and mentor through his/her instructions and actions to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes, the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
5. Knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Phillipsburg Board of Education & NJSIAA
6. Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation and evaluates effectiveness of all assistants
7. Gives constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct
8. Assists athletes in their college selection
9. Responsible for maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, parents, officials, volunteers and fans
10. Successful completion of the Coaching Principles Course and First Aid/CPR
11. Required criminal history background check
