Qualifications Profile

Leave Replacement Supervisor of Climate and Culture

Anticpated for 12 weeks

Requirements:   

  1. Valid New Jersey Supervisor Standard Certificate/Certificate of Eligibility. 
  2. Standard NJ Teaching certificate At least five years instructional experience.
  3. Demonstrate ability to work effectively in the areas of curriculum and instruction, school administration and supervision of programs and staff.
  4. Strong leadership and communication skills.
  5. Successfully undergo a criminal history check and proof of U.S citizenship or legal resident alien status.
  6. Meets the health qualifications required of all personnel

Duties Include

  • Meet with grade level teams during common plan to discuss pedagogical strategies, program implementation, district initiatives, and use of resources, etc.
  • Provide support and guidance, troubleshoot obstacles, reinforce district/building implementation
  • Stay current on NJDOE requirements to ensure district compliance in area of instruction and programming
  • Ensure district curriculum documents, including scope and sequence charts, are current and aligned with NJSLS
  • Form and lead committees to achieve specific goals and outcomes
  • Perform ongoing curricular and instructional needs assessment.
  • Develop and communicate long term department goals
  • Assess/evaluate potential programs, platforms, resources, materials, instructional strategies, professional development, etc.
  • Analyze and interpret NJSLA, iReady, and other formative assessment data to:
    • Make program, material, professional development, recommendations to superintendent
    • Identify learning patterns, trends, areas of deficiency, etc.
    • Share findings with staff and use as discussion facilitator
    • Help teachers use data to design differentiated instructional activities and develop strategic student groupings
    • Develop and frequently revise intervention schedule/opportunities
  • Oversee development, approval, implementation, and revision of Student Growth Objectives (SGO)
  • In accordance with NJ ACHIEVE, perform teacher observations using district evaluation tool
  • Perform instructional walk throughs for the purpose of providing constructive feedback and collegial dialogue
  • Capitalize on NJDOE competitive and discretionary grant opportunities by writing and submitting grant applications in EWEG
  • Work in student information system for purpose of extracting data, importing information, contacting support
  • Prepare appropriate curricular resources and instructional approaches for district’s summer school program
  • Confidentiality
