School Bus Drivers
 
The Secaucus Board of Education invites qualified and interested individuals to apply for the position of School Bus Driver.
 
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

1. Requires a valid New Jersey driver’s license with driving privileges in good standing; CDL Class B with P&S endorsements.
2. Must pass Department of Transportation physical exam and Mantoux screening test.
3. Must complete and pass the criminal history background check.

• Obey all traffic laws.
• Observe all mandatory safety regulations for school buses.
• Maintain discipline while students are riding, loading, or unloading the school bus.
• Reports undisciplined students to the appropriate school authority.
• Keep assigned bus clean.
• Maintains assigned travel schedule.
• Completes NJ MVC Drivers Vehicle Inspection Report before each operation of the vehicle.
• Notifies the proper school authority in case of mechanical failure or lateness.
• Loads and unloads students only at authorized stops.
• Exercises discretion when on out of district school trips.
• Transports only authorized students and district employees.
• Reports all accidents and completes required reports.

 
REPORTS TO: Transportation Supervisor
 
SALARY AND EMPLOYMENT
 
Salary Range:         Current starting salary $22.95
 
Employment Period:         2023-2024 School Year
