Early Childhood Education (ECE) and English Language Arts (ELA) teacher

HudsonWay Immersion School seeks a dedicated and skilled Early Childhood Education (ECE) and English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher to support our youngest learners. This role provides ELA instruction to Kindergarten and Grade 1 students, along with 30-minute lessons for our Early Childhood (ECE) classes.

The ideal candidate demonstrates a deep understanding of early childhood development and brings a proven track record of success in early education. Familiarity with the Science of Reading and The Creative Curriculum is strongly preferred.

This is a specialist position rather than a homeroom role. HudsonWay is a language immersion school, and students receive the majority of their instruction in Mandarin or Spanish from native-speaking teachers.

Key responsibilities:

? Design and implement developmentally appropriate ELA instruction tailored to individual student needs

? Differentiate instruction to support diverse linguistic, cultural, and academic backgrounds

? Apply early intervention strategies to support student growth

? Foster a positive classroom environment that promotes strong behavioral expectations

? Maintain accurate student records in compliance with school policies and regulations

? Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practice

Qualifications:

? Native English speaker

? Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in P–3 or Elementary Education (required)

? Minimum of 3–4 years of classroom experience with Pre-K or early elementary students

? Strong written and verbal communication skills

? Excellent organizational and classroom management abilities

Physical Requirements:

? Ability to perform essential job functions in accordance with all applicable regulations

? Capacity to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the school day

? Ability to lift and carry up to 20 pounds
