Technology Coordinator / Network Administrator
The Technology Coordinator / Network Administrator is responsible for designing, organizing, modifying and supporting all computer systems. The Technology Coordinator / Network Administrator designs and installs Local Area Networks (LANs), Wireless Networks (WANs), Internet and Intranet systems, and network segments.
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitates cordial relationships with vendors, students, staff members, contractors and other stakeholders.
Supports LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet and intranet systems.
Maintains system efficiency and monitors networks to ensure availability to specific users.
Ensures system design allows all components to work properly together.
Assigns email accounts to employees and maintains distribution lists.
Troubleshoots problems reported by users, analyzes and isolates issues.
Makes recommendations for future upgrades.
Maintains network and system security.
Coordinates support with contracted technical support professionals and various system vendors when necessary.
Trains staff members on proper handling of equipment and in the secure use of technology.
Assigns routing protocols and routing table configuration.
Assigns configuration of authentication and authorization of directory services.
Maintains network servers and intrusion detection systems (firewall).
Administers servers, desktop computers, Chromebooks, Smart boards, laptops, iPads, printers, routers, switches, phones, security cameras, RFcard readers, software deployment, security updates, and patches.
Maintains technology equipment and updates inventory as needed.
Maintains stock of consumables (printer ink/toner) and forecasts usage for bulk ordering.
Minimum 4 years of experience working Tech Support in an educational institution.

Genesis Student Information System
Genesis Staff Management System
CDK Business Office software
NJ Homeroom reporting
