Interim Middle School Vice Principal

Caldwell-West Caldwell Public Schools is currently seeking an Interim Vice Principal at Grover Cleveland Middle School effective as soon as possible.

Qualifications:

1. A New Jersey Principal Certificate
2. Prior administrative and/or supervisory experience required

Candidates must demonstrate:

1. Demonstrated knowledge of effective instructional strategies and successful experience observing, mentoring and coaching teachers to improve instruction;
2. The ability to provide effective instructional leadership, maintaining school-wide focus on student achievement and supporting all teachers and staff;
3. The ability to relate well to students, staff, and community in a collaborative, environment rooted in shared decision making;
4. A relentless work ethic and commitment to student achievement;
5. Thorough knowledge of the NJSLS, curriculum design, implementation of inspirational strategies and integration of technology;
6. A positive behavioral approach to discipline which encourages students to develop core values that guide their interactions with peers, staff and all members of the school community;
7. Experience coordinating group test administration and conducting staff training on required standardized assessments;
8. Strong written and verbal communication skills

Salary:   per diem as per Administrator's contract
