Summary: The Arc of Union County Inc. is a leading provider of Person-Centered human services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Technology Instructor, Adult Day Services develops a person-centered evidence-based and personalized Technology information curriculum that is designed to promote learning, interaction, internet, and email awareness, social networking options that will foster communication, encourage expression, and foster independence while being protected by using safe and secure navigation skills. Technology Instructor, Adult Day Services prepares Technology program’s course materials, develops curricula, oversees Technology laboratory activities, provides assignments and grading as needed, monitors progress and maintains Technology hardware. Coordinates technology theme-based community inclusion outings to support and reinforce information technology curriculum for all service recipients as assigned. The professional integrates research findings into practice and performs tasks consistent with HIPAA laws and agency guidelines.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in information technology or Technology science, other certifications such as CompTIA (A+, Network+,Security +,Linux+) a plus. Proficiency in Windows Operating Systems and MS Office applications, Proficiency in editing software programs. Ability to develop a person-centered Technology information curriculum. Knowledge of multiple systems and brands preferred. One to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities or related field. Coaching, teaching, and communication skills required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills required. Demonstrated ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast paced, and demanding environment.
Hours: 8:30 A to 4 P Monday-Friday
