FRESHMAN GIRLS' VOLLEYBALL COACH
St. John Vianney High School is in search of a dedicated, experienced professional to serve as the Freshman coach for the St. John Vianney Girls' Volleyball team for the fall of 2026. St. John Vianney HS is a Catholic, co-educational college preparatory school located in Holmdel, Monmouth County, NJ.
St. John Vianney plays in the Shore Conference of the NJSIAA and participates in highly competitive conference, league, and non-league schedules. The Freshman Girls' Volleyball coach helps the Varsity & JV head coaches, and they coordinate all aspects of the Freshman team under the direction of the Varsity coach, following the school’s mission and values. The goal of the Freshman coach should be to help lead a competitive program at the highest level of play by teaching and developing the players with skill and sportsmanship. Team building is essential.
The ability to coach during pre- and off-season is required. This position receives a stipend with the possibility of a full-time teaching or staff position. The Fall Season runs from early August through November.

Requirements/Expectations:
- 60 College Credits Required/bachelor's degree preferred
- Volleyball playing or coaching experience with high school-aged student-athletes.
- Experience working in a school setting and coaching female athletes is preferred.
- Ability to attend all team practices, meetings, and games from August through November.
- Commitment to the principles of our Catholic college preparatory school.
- Interpersonal skills and record of developing strong relationships with student-athletes, colleagues, administrators, parents/guardians, and others in the school community.
- Experience and familiarity with competitive high school or equivalent youth programs are desirable.
- Present for open house, season banquets, signing days, and other events in support of the team and athletic program
Candidates must be willing to undergo a background check and take the required in-person Virtus training.
