General Duties: The school-based operations team leads the  establishing a strong school systems designed to support school leaders in non-instructional obligations to increase capacity and focus on  student achievement and the professional development of the teaching staff.  The operations manager holds the dual responsibility of the day-today administration of non-instructional student services and being one of the first contact in supporting students and families.  The operations manager reports directly to the building leader. 

Requirements:  Bachelor’s Degree. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

General School Support- Scheduling

  1. Record and maintain the school’s calendar, scheduling of courses and class schedules

  2. Upholds and maintains a positive, nurturing, achievement-oriented school culture

Correspondence & Data

  1. Types, translates, and distributes school correspondence including but not limited to: letters, memos, and weekly bulletins;

  2. Supports all school-based communication systems;

  3. Distributes all incoming correspondence

School Operations and Student Services- Attendance 

  1. Trains and supports school team to accurately capture daily attendance

  2. Prepares monthly attendance reports, weekly attendance verifications

  3. Leads attendance celebration and initiative.

  4. Communicates expectations of attendance to families, managing letters and communication to repeat truancy offenders, and supporting on attendance related incentives and activities.

  5. Schedules and approves PTO, Professional Development, and Bereavement

Field Trips and Special Projects

  1. Set up and prepare.

  2. Assists with coordinating travel arrangements, field trips, and other student and school-wide events: Assists in ordering, purchasing, receiving, and organizing materials. Graduation Planning

Project Management- Assessment Logistics

  1. Managing the operational logistics of student test administration (interim and standardized testing) at the campus, including the distribution of test materials to the classroom, and the collection and aggregation of test results

  2. Produce academic and school culture reports (i.e., report cards, awards, scholar dollars) 

  3. Serve as point person for teacher technical support

  4. Trains and works with teachers to ensure attendance is completed timely and accurately each day.
