Hockey Specialist – Willow Lake Day Camp

We’re looking for an energetic and positive Hockey Specialist to lead fun, age-appropriate hockey instruction for campers ages 4–7 and 8-14. The ideal candidate has hockey/sports experience in working with young children and knows how to create a supportive, confidence-building environment on the rink or court. This is a seasonal, full-time summer position (Monday–Friday) at Willow Lake Day Camp in Lake Hopatcong, NJ. **Applicant MUST be a college graduate or older** 

Responsibilities include:

• Teaching the fundamentals of hockey (stick handling, passing, shooting, and teamwork) through engaging drills and mini games
• Creating age-appropriate activities that focus on skill development, fun, and safety
• Encouraging campers to try new things, build confidence, and develop good sportsmanship
• Working closely with group counselors and the Athletics Director to ensure a positive experience for every camper

Willow Lake's Athletic Program Includes:

• 15+ coaches dedicated to Athletics
• Age appropriate courts and fields

• 5 Basketball Courts
• 3 Softball/baseball/T-ball fields

• 2 Street Hockey rinks

Summer 2026 Dates and Times

• Camp runs from June 22 - August 14, 2026 (no camp on July 3)
• 8:30am - 3:30pm daily at camp
• Must be available all camp dates and staff training on Sunday June 14th from 10:00AM- 5:00PM
