• Valid New Jersey teaching certificate:
  • Technology Education or
  • Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization Math, 5 - 8 or
  • Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization Science, 5 - 8 or
  • Middle School with Subject Matter Specialization Science,

• A deep understanding of practical and integrated technology lessons/units of study
• A philosophical and practical understanding of differentiated instruction and student-centered learning for students in grades preschool - 8 with a broad spectrum of technology knowledge and skills including teaching students with special needs 
• Knowledge and implementation experience of a broad range of technology applications and tools
• Thorough understanding of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards for Educational Technology
• Research-based instructional practices in helping students to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills including STEM lessons and activities
• Capacity for using student performance data for short and long term planning of instruction
• Effective collaboration skills to work with grade level and content/subject-matter teachers for the maximum integration of technology infusion in the general curriculum
• Knowledge of effective and practical classroom management techniques based on the Positive Behavior Supports framework
• Knowledge and experience with the use and maintenance of a 3D printer and related design software, preferred
• Google Suite certified, preferred
• Excellent speaking and writing communication skills and emotional intelligence abilities
