Part-Time Spanish Teacher

Duties and Responsibilities:

• The world language teacher is responsible for creating engaging lessons and proficiency-based assessments in alignment with the ACTFL guidelines and the New Jersey Student Learning Standards which focus on the interpretive, interpersonal, and presentational modes of communication.  
• The teacher is expected to integrate authentic language and culture and to conduct their classes in the target language. 
• Provide instruction that will ensure students have a sound foundation in grammar and vocabulary.
• Strong focus on growing student ability to speak the language.
• Utilization of technology wherever appropriate to enhance the student learning experience and the process of language acquisition.
• Belief that all students can learn a second language.
• Work collaboratively with staff members to determine instructional goals and objectives that serve the needs of all students.

Requirements:

• Spanish Teacher Certification Code: 1550Middle School with Subject matter Specialization: World Language/Spanish in Grades 5 - 8 Code: 1150 and Elementary School Certificate or N-12 subject matter endorsement

Salary:

• Commensurate with education and experience
• As per the negotiated salary guide: $57,275 - $95,125
